I really loved my time at Volcano Lodge. The thermal pools were a highlight, especially the private hot spring pool right outside my room. It provided a peaceful escape after a long day of exploring. The gardens were stunning, and I enjoyed the wildlife sightings, including a sloth just outside the entrance. The room was clean and spacious but could use some updates. the linens seemed a bit outdated. I appreciated that the breakfast was good each morning, with a nice variety of options. The staff were friendly and very attentive, always ready to help plan activities. The only downside was the confusing entrance upon arrival, which felt a bit unwelcoming. I had a great time overall, just a few areas for improvement.

Amazing place to relax! We had a Superior Thermal Room with a private pool right outside and stunning views of Arenal Volcano. The thermal pools were fantastic, especially with the swim-up bar. Plus, breakfast had a great spread including made-to-order omelettes! Housekeeping was on point, and staff were really friendly. Highly recommend it!

The junior suite we stayed in had a private thermal pool that was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring, and the breakfast spread was fantastic! We loved lounging in the beautiful gardens and soaking in the hot springs. Just a small thing, we wish the breakfast service had been more attentive, but it didn’t ruin our stay. 🌴

great grounds but room needs update
The beautifully manicured gardens showcased the talent of the groundskeepers. The mineral springs offered an outstanding experience, especially the swim-up bar with mixologist Alonzo.
Room and bathroom were a bit dated, but still nice.

Perfect for couples seeking tranquility
The thermal baths were a revelation we loved how they stayed open 24 hours, providing a perfect escape from reality. The breakfast buffet was good, especially the homemade pastries which got me hooked right from the start.
It wasn't exactly cheap but you know what, worth it.

We enjoyed our family vacation here, especially the private hot spring pool, which was perfect for relaxing together. The Superior Room was really nice! The beds were comfy, and I loved the spacious layout. Plus, the decor with towel designs and flower petals was a cute touch. The private balcony offered great views too. The only slight downside was having to wear those paper bracelets everywhere, which felt a bit tacky.
